Arcade Builds

As an engineering/technology teacher of 11 years, I can confidently say that playing around in the wood shop is one of the best perks around. One day, I was checking out an arcade cabinet and thought... I bet I can do that. Since then, I've been hooked on building these monuments to retro-gaming; from the ground and up. No other project as challenged my creativity and problem solving in the same way. At this point, I'm not even sure how many I've built. I was even lucky enough to turn this hobby into an actual class during my last year of teaching. My students and I built six arcades that we were able to share with the school (pictures at the bottom of the gallery).

Lastly, back in 2018, I won second place for one of my earlier builds on Insctructables.com, where I broke down how to build a bartop arcade in both written form and video! I am currently working on a new how-to video for the smaller Zelda cabinet (about half way down in the gallery) which will be done soon!
